I FOLLOWED MY INTUITION & THIS IS WHAT I LEARNED

It’s been a little over a year that I decided to take the plunge and follow my heart. This time was for real, I jumped ship from my cushy corporate career to starting a business of my own.

I’ve always been really intuitive but I was a 'picky' intuitive person. I picked when/how I followed my intuition..until I couldn’t take it anymore and I was all in.

I wish I could say that it came out of the next right step but it all transparency, it came out of pain. Following my intuition was courageous but it was definitely uncomfortable.

This journey of self-transformation has taught me some of the biggest lessons and I want to share them with you in case you are on the brink of jumping…

>> PATIENCE: I used to be probably one of the most impatient people you ever met. I was always on the go and waiting for the next big thing. When you decide to follow your intuition, you basically live in a place of uncertainty. You are constantly uncomfortable and you aren’t really sure of what’s next. I don’t think this ever changes but what beautifully unfolds is that YOU change in the process. We have this fake illusion that we have things under control and that we are certain of our lives but really none of us knows…So this journey allows you to let go of the illusion of control and surrender to the uncertainty and have patience with the process.

>> FAITH: Faith is a BIGGIE when you decide to follow your heart. Faith pretty much goes against everything we’ve been taught because you can’t see faith, you just feel it. We’ve been taught to trust what we see & believe. When you begin your journey of self-discovery, you realize that a lot of habits and patterns and ways in which you were operating no longer work. Meaning those actions don’t feel good any more. So you end up growing your 'muscle' of faith because you start following what feels good instead of what looks good. Somewhere along the way, you end you figuring out that feeling good is pretty much the holy grail (since remember you're now living in a place of uncertainty)

>> SELF-SABOTAGE: You become so aware of how you’re playing small and holding back.Let me explain, once you decide to follow your intuition it tends to happen through a big leap. After that, it all becomes an inside job. You start realizing that everything that is happening is because of you. The good, the bad, the ugly. You start realizing that 'the bad' is because you brought it to your life and you start taking responsibility for it. THAT changes you completely. There are periods when it feels impossible to move to the next step and other periods where you are immensely grateful for life. Where you adore every human and thank God for the breeze on your body and the shade of the trees. You are one with the Universe. Other times when you want to start drinking at 11am because WTF is going on…

Lastly, FORGIVENESS – this is a big one! You start realizing how brave you’ve been, you start realizing how bad-ass you are. How much you’ve done and how much love you have for yourself. You begin shedding the old pieces of you, you high-five yourself when someone who used to trigger no longer does. You wink at yourself in the mirror at the pharmacy and realize how much appreciation you have for you.

So to sum it up, once you start following your intuition, LIFE TRULY BECOMES AN ADVENTURE!!!!

You allow you light to come forth and illuminate your world and those around you…It truly is a miracle.
